Job Description
To provide administration support to the POAC team, including both clinical and administration staff groups. Ensuring effective communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team and contributing to a positive patient experience throughout the Unit. To provide admin support to the POAC team, including both clinical and admin staff to ensure effective communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team and contributing to a positive patient experience throughout the Unit. Provide administrative support to the POAC Ward Manager and Admin Manager. Incorporating printing and photocopying. Provide accurate information for the POAC admin manager and Ward Manager. Adhere to Trust policies and procedures Update Synopsis entries to provide the minimum level of information needed. Assist patients, if required, in order for them to complete their Health Questionnaire on Synopsis Printing patients SCR’s. Contacting patients by telephone to remind them to complete their Health Questionnaire and assisting them with this if required to enable triage nurses to make decision on level of assessment required. Checking and cross referencing upcoming clinics to ensure the majority of patients have completed Health Questionnaires prior to their assessments to assist with patient flow through the department. Photocopying information for the nurses to disseminate to patients. Based on nurses station answering incoming calls – taking messages as and when needed and liaising with appropriate staff to action those messages. Ensure case notes are available for all patients attending the pre-operative assessment centre.
